Noah’s PERCH schedules monthly meet-ups where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities can make new social connections and join other participants for fun-filled activities that foster a culture of inclusion.

“My daughter, Anika, has been with PERCH almost a year. When she was in high school, Anika had a lot of friends - both neurotypical and in special education. Unfortunately, when her friends graduated, many of them who had been active with her after school have moved off to college. Since then, Anika has been more lonely and isolated. She still has friends, but needs to wait until the respective parents can find time to drive them to spend time together. Sometimes that can take a while. With PERCH, especially the in-person meetings, she can be social again with people who get her. It decreases her loneliness and she looks forward to each event. Her social circle has increased and since she loves dancing, gets done exercise as well! It's helped the family as well since we know she has some positioning in her life."

“Noah's PERCH events have been such a wonderful experience for our daughter Alexia and our family. There are so many great activities for PERCH participants and Noah Homes residents, which are always well organized and managed. It is also an opportunity for participants to develop friendships with current Noah Homes residents and participate in quality educational experiences together. We have had the opportunity to attend dances at Noah Homes, picnics, trips to the beach, virtual field trips to great places like the San Diego Zoo, piano concerts, and yoga/meditation events. Our daughter always looks forward to attending PERCH activities. She has developed nice friendships with some of the Noah Homes residents and considers them to be her friends.
